But, I've even gone a little further than that. I feel that if I take Rogaine and Propecia every day, my body will eventually know exactly what it is and not be surprised anymore. Soughta like saying, "Yeah, whatever. I know what this is and I've thought of a way around it. You're gonna start losing your hair again".

Well, I decided to try a little experiment. I stopped using the Rogaine every so often. A week or two will go by and I wouldn't use any. They say if you stop taking it, your newly grown-in hair will fall out. Well, don't stop taking it for any long period of time. That's all.

After that week or two break, I'll start taking it again and my scalp doesn't get used to it - or build up a resistance. Lately, I go two weeks on and two weeks off. So far after about one year, no adverse effects. No additional hair loss.

Update as of 02.01.2007 - Still no hair loss.. I'm using Minoxidil every so often and I haven't lost any of my newly grown-in hair. I do however stick to a specific daily protocol - which I'll explain later...

The same goes for Propecia. A week or two will go by where I wont use that either. This saves me even more money. And, I'm still getting the effects of the DHT lowering drug. Sometimes I even go a month without using it. I've still got all my hair - AND my new hair.

But most often, I go two weeks on and two weeks off the Propecia as well. Keep in mind that I cut my pills in half. I'm only paying $50.00 for 4 months of this great DHT reducing product. Everyone else seems to be paying $200.00 - I think that may be a waste once you've grown all your hair back.

Update as of 02.01.2007 - I don't even use Propecia (Finisteride) any longer. I'm now using shampoos (topical DHT reducers) instead. I believe this is a better way to go about regrowing or retaining your hair. Reason being, DHT lowering drugs CAN have adverse affects on your body. DHT is important - with the exception being bad for hair. Topical DHT reducers never actually make it into your blood stream. So, the effects are only seen at the scalp - where you're in need. I'll speak more about these topics DHT reducers later...
